BLUE AMBER is a rare beauty and an and exotic variety of fossilised amber resin that exhibits a blue coloration. Unique Blue amber is found almost exclusively in the Dominican Republic, especially in the amber mines around the city of Santiago. This variety comes from the resin of an extinct tree species called Hymenaea protera and was formed approximately 15 to 20 million years ago.
Amber is a soft gemstone ranking 2 to 2.5 on the Moh’s hardness scale like pearls, and as such requires a little extra care.
Amber’s energy is associated with light and warmth.
